Ron Pope Toledo Concert reviews
Show Worth The Trump Bashing
In my 61 years, I have attended many concerts, but never having seen Pink Floyd, going to see Ron Pope was as close as I could get. The show was an event in many ways, featuring songs from the early days of Pink Floyd, relying heavily on Dark Side of the Moon and The Wall. The band was exceptional, and the two background singers outstanding. This show was one of the most musically and visually best concerts I have ever attended. Be warned, if you are a Trump supporter, there will be segments of the show that will get you upset. Many cursed out at Waters and some walked out. Not a mass exodus by any means. There were times I felt a little uncomfortable with the bashing. If you know the history of Pink Floyd and Roger Waters, then you must be prepared for him to be political. The bashing of Trump is over the course of three songs in an almost 120-minute concert. If you purchased your ticket, by all means, go. Because in the end, the music won out. He left the stage to a great ovation because overall the show was just that good.
